AUDIT ASSOCIATES (Experienced)

Job description

  1. Completes and passes all mandatory internal trainings relevant to the role; 
  2. Executes audit procedures in the Client’s office for audit areas assigned; Uses the Firm’s internal resources in the performance of the audit;
  3. Prepares timely, relevant, and well organized audit work papers to document audit procedures performed as required by the work program to evidence the procedures done;
  4. Reports to senior and/or engagement executives any audit and/or accounting issues noted in an engagement, researches alternative solutions, and then discusses those alternative solutions to the issues researched with the senior engagement team members;
  5. Resolves timely and effectively all review notes of senior engagement team members;
  6. Ensures that the audit work is completed with the quality consistent with the Firm’s standards within the time budget prepared by the engagement team;
  7. Conducts professional dealings and liaises with Client’s management for smooth conduct of audit work;
  8. Renders overtime work to meet engagement deadlines;
  9. Complies with Firm’s policies and procedures consistently; and,
  10. Assists with administrative duties related to an audit engagement.

 

Required qualifications


Education: University degree, preferably in Accounting or related business related fields;
CPA qualification: Holds either a current and valid CPA certificate, or be working towards obtaining a CPA qualification by taking and passing the applicable CPA exams;
Experience: A minimum one year of recent external audit service or audit simulation is preferred;
Technology knowledge: Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Internet searching skills; and, 
Communication: Good command of English, both written and spoken.
